Women join Sweet Adelines because they like to sing. They stay because of the musical challenge, the rewards of individual achievement, the rewards of performance and the sense of belonging. Therefore, Region 19 is a progressive women's organization that:
GOAL 1: Increase the average scores at competition
yearly, with all scores above 400 points 2. Increase training for directors 3. Provide expanded assistance for those choruses not meeting the criteria of scores above 400 points
GOAL 2: Assure fiscal responsibility through a balanced budget and maintain a reserve of no less than two years’ operating budget. 1. Maintain effective and efficient Regional management 2. Maintain cost-effective budgeting strategies 3. Monitor Regional investments with diligence 4. Maximize long-range financial and management planning 5. Communicate the region’s financial status and plans
GOAL 3: Increase net membership. 1. Increase public awareness of the organization 2. Provide resources to promote membership retention and recruitment 3. Recognize membership achievements through regional programs 4. Increase member awareness of her role in the mission of Sweet Adelines International 5. Preserve the fun of regional life 6. Strengthen the chorus/region/RMT connection
GOAL 4: Increase member awareness and use of Regional resources 1. Promote the use of Regional faculty with administrative expertise to chorus leadership 2. Promote the use Regional faculty with musical expertise to chorus leadership 3. Plan for and implement Regional events with International faculty to meet the administrative and musical needs of the region 4. Promote the use of the Regional website, monthly mailings, Hi Los’ and Yahoo groups to communicate with members
