I was the lead for 6th place region quartet, Mirror Image...B+ scoring quartet. I'm currently either looking to replace the tenor and baritone parts or I'm free to join a similar type quartet for anyone seeking a lead. I'm ok with traveling....the bass and I have currently been traveling to Cinnaminson, NJ. I live in Edison and the bass lives in Tom's River, NJ, so we're used to traveling for the right blend! I competed in the 2002 Collegiate Quartet Competition in Nashville. I was the only one in the quartet with barbershop experience, so we placed low on the "stage presence" portion. We ended up placing 11th out of 26. However, we placed 8th in "sound." I am know 26 and very ready to get serious about competing with the big boys. I am looking for the right people. I have a degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Nebraska. I can also sing tenor at the competive level, but I think someone else could probably do a better job. My powerhouse is baritone.
Must be willing to have fun, work hard, and compete. I'm motivated to perform and compete, and I'm not getting any younger! :-) I live in Northern Virginia, so half of Maryland, most of Virginia, and DC are all do-able in terms of rehearsal.
I've been a SA since 2003. Love to sing. No quartet experience, but want to get started. I read/play music, so am a fast learner. My job allows me to plan my own schedule, so I have flexibility in days. Willing to travel to find compatible members and the right sound. Middle-aged, but young at heart - and voice!
I read music, can quickly learn new songs, LOVE TO SING, have been singing with the chorus for four years and loving it, can attend rehearsal evenings Tuesday through Friday (the chorus rehearses on Monday), any time Saturday or Sunday.
I can also sing tenor. I have 6 years of quartet experience, including 3 contests with Capital Swing (as a tenor). I want to compete and WIN. I am willing to travel for the right mix of goals and music. I am a fast learner, self-supporting, and drama/baggage free. Give me a buzz if you have rhinestone dreams too!

Region 14 Quartet Champion (14 Karat-1999) seeking competitive quartet. Looking for other goal oriented singers who want to have fun with each other while entertaining with challenging and varied repertiore.
We are TAG, 2006 Region 19 5th Place Medalist Quartet. Our baritone recently left the quartet and we are looking to find another strong, competitive singer to enter competition again in the spring, 2007. Because of work schedules, we are only available to rehearse on Friday nights and weekends. Individually we are barbershop veterans and former regional quartet medalists and regional first-place quartet medalists, who desire to do what we love to the best of our abilities and with excellence...barbershop quartet singing!
I don't read music, but am good at picking up part from learning tapes or through practice sessions. I'm particularly interested in joining with other novices who'd like to explore quartet singing.
Must LOVE to sing ( and have fun, too! ) and be highly motivated and disciplined to learn new music, independently, from learning CDs (while remaining sharp on previous material). Must always be ready for rehearsal. Must take responsibility for her part and be willing to accept challenge to help the quartet mature into the next level of skill and performance. Must wrap it all up in a smile to dazzle the audience as we take them on a journey through time with the songs we share with them.
BaySide4 of Milford Delaware has been singing together since 2002. Our tenor, Rusty, recently became our chorus (First State Harmonettes) director, and decided she needed to devote more time to her new responsibilities. Our current baritone, Ann, has decided she'd like to try tenor, so we're actually replacing Ann, not Rusty. We've been meeting in Milford on Monday nights at 5:30, but that's not carved in stone.
