Statement of Purpose:
At the 2024 Region 19 Convention, it was announced that we would be holding a contest to name the new First Place Mid-Size Chorus trophy. The time has come to submit your nominations!
Each year, Region 19 presents the Dolly Householder trophy to the 1 st Place Small Chorus champions, and the Janet Ashford
award to the Most Improved Chorus. In 2023, a new trophy was introduced, which is presented to the First Place Mid-Size Chorus champions. We would like to name this trophy in honor of someone who has made significant contributions to Region 19 choruses.

Important Dates:
- Contest details were announced on October 19th during the Saturday Night Show at FLASH
- Nominations will be accepted through December 31st
- The honoree will be announced during the Celebration of Members on Thursday, April 3rd at the 2025 Region 19 Convention
Criteria for Nomination:
- Honoree must be a current or past member of Region 19 (posthumous recognition is allowed)
- Honoree must have made significant contributions to Region 19 and/or to Sweet Adelines International during their membership tenure
- Honoree must have been a role model for service to, support of and/or advancement of Sweet Adelines choruses, particularly mid-size choruses
