She sings with the Denver-based Skyline
chorus where she leads Skyline’s strategic planning and organizational development efforts, helps facilitate Skyline’s education programs, and serves as the Membership Manager. Leslie is a certified director and former front-line director, section leader, team coordinator, membership coordinator, and marketing coordinator.

Leslie passionately believes that Sweet Adelines International provides endless opportunities for women to discover, rediscover, develop, and hone myriad talents that are injected into the SAI organization and, as importantly, into careers, communities, and families. This passionate belief provides the framework through which she develops and delivers learning opportunities on the risers and in classrooms and living rooms. She believes that all deserve the opportunity to learn and grow through their SAI journey and is privileged to offer skills and resources to facilitate growth.

LESLIE'S CLASSES:
  • Let's Talk about Leadership: What is leadership? What is the role of a leader? Are leading and managing the same? Is there a “best”  leadership style? This class will introduce leadership concepts and vocabulary that will be referenced in subsequent sessions.
  • From Rookies to Lifers: Membership recruitment and retention that focuses on organizational culture,
leadership, collaborative processes, and helping new members become successful
    contributors to the chorus.
  • (Real) Team-Work Makes the Dream-Work!: Teams aren’t simply committees with a different label. And effective music,
management, leadership, and cross-functional teams don’t happen by accident. How do
leaders create and sustain intentionally effective teams?
  • Why Plan?: We are so often focused on doing that we neglect the dreaming, thinking, & planning
part that is essential to directing our activities and resources. This class introduces some
new ways of thinking about planning from a leadership perspective.

LOCATION:
St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
201 Mt. Royal Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21001
