JENNIFER COOKEJen started singing barbershop at a young age with her mom, dad, and sister in Marion, Ohio. She brought this love of four-part harmony with her to Nashville, Tennessee, where she joined Sweet Adelines International (SA) in 2000. She has since joined the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) and Harmony, Inc. (HI) and remains a proud member of all three organizations.
She is a Certified Director through Sweet Adelines’ Director Certification Program and has achieved the status of Master Director. She is also a past member of the SA International Board of Directors and served on the Regional Leadership Committee and the Young Women in Harmony Committee. Jen has been honored to be a part of the prestigious Harmony University (BHS) faculty for the past five years. Jen is the current Membership Coordinator for Region 14 and is also on the Regional Faculty in Regions 4 and 14 (SA). Jen sings with Presto!, current international 4th place medalist (SA) and V, current international 10th place quartet (HI). She is also a member of Song of Atlanta Chorus (SA). Jen has been the front-line director for Scenic City Chorus (SA) in Chattanooga, TN, for the past 11 years and is currently directing an a cappella chorus, Serendipity, in Nashville. |
KATHLEEN HANSENKathleen Hansen has been working in the field of music education and performance since 1998. She has a Bachelor of Music degree specializing in music education and trumpet, a single subject teaching credential, and a Master of Music degree specializing in conducting. She is currently working toward her Doctor of Musical Arts degree with Boston University
Kathleen is the Artistic Director of the San Diego Women’s Chorus and Master Director of the San Diego Chorus of Sweet Adelines. Kathleen serves on the International Faculty of Sweet Adelines International. Additionally, she currently serves as the Artistic 411 Advisor for GALA Choruses. She is an active clinician, musical adjudicator, presenter, voice teacher, and coach. Kathleen designs and edits virtual music ensembles, has a YouTube channel, and gives online voice lessons. COVID Protocols for Region 19 Educational Events
The health and safety of our members remains an important concern of the Regional Management Team. Members are reminded to use good judgement regarding their own health and the health of others. Beginning in January 2023, COVID vaccinations are strongly recommended but will not be required in order to participate in “live” events hosted by the region. Similarly, negative COVID tests will not be required but are encouraged. Masks will be optional and your personal choice. This policy could be adjusted should there be a change in local, state, or national guidelines.
